Where It All Began

Dr. Kerry Reeves has spent over two decades building a reputation for efficient, compassionate optometry in North Carolina. His first location, Advanced Eyecare in Fayetteville, is a family-oriented practice.

When the opportunity arose to take over a retiring optometrist’s office in Myrtle Beach, it felt like the right fit. Not just professionally, but personally. Dr. Reeves and his wife Joy have long had ties to the area. Their children live nearby, their extended family calls it home, and one day, they plan to retire here.

This isn’t expansion for the sake of business. It’s an investment in a place and a community that they care deeply about.

A Familiar Practice, Reimagined for the Coast

Although similar to our Fayetteville office, our Myrtle Beach office was designed with the local community in mind. Walk-in availability is a core part of the model. This makes care more accessible for nearby families, rural patients, and the 25 million tourists who visit the Grand Strand each year.

We proudly serve Myrtle Beach, Conway, Little River, Socastee, and surrounding areas with:

  • Comprehensive eye exams
  • Pediatric eye care (including infants)
  • Contact lens fittings (toric, multifocal, RGP)
  • Dry eye evaluation and in-office treatment
  • Chronic eye disease management (glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye care)
  • LASIK and cataract co-management
  • Same-day and after-hours emergency care

Rooted in Community, Shaped by Experience

Dr. Reeves’ career spans from partner-level private practice to full-time medical missions in Haiti, where he and Joy built clinics, started an orphanage, and led school sponsorship programs. That chapter of service influences everything they do, from the way they greet patients to the way they train their staff.

Joy Reeves brings her expertise as a licensed esthetician to the clinic, supporting both patient care and the practice’s growing line of dry eye products and skin health offerings. She also plays a hands-on role in creating a space that’s welcoming for children, new patients, and everyone in between.

Neighbourhood Eye Care Without the Wait

Our mission is to make excellent eye care easy to access, comfortable to receive, and genuinely patient-focused. We believe that great care shouldn’t require a referral or weeks of waiting. It should be available when and how people need it, whether they’re students, parents, retirees, or just passing through town.

Our approach is rooted in honesty, efficiency, and respect. We focus on long-term vision health and we do it in a setting that feels more like a neighborhood clinic than a corporate office. Every visit is an opportunity to earn your trust with clarity, compassion, and care that fits your lifestyle on and off the beach.
